First Unicyclist to ride all the way around South Mountain, Phoenix AZ.
First to unicycle from the top of Mauna Kea Hawai'i to Saddle Rd.
First unicyclist to ride all the way around Hawai'i (Big Island).
Going the distance
I am a unicycle athlete.
My primary form is unitouring also known as distance unicycling.
Top distance in one ride: 63 miles (101 km).
Top climb in one ride: 4,609 ft (1404 m).
Top month Sept 2022: 1001 miles (1610 km).
I also enjoy MUni, Trials, and Flatland forms.
Today I have the opportunity to be better than I was yesterday!
I'M ONLY COMPETING AGAINST MYSELF!
However, life does not revolve around me. So, when I discovered Great Cycle Challenge in September 2020, I was overjoyed to be able to help raise money for children's cancer research.
That first year I pledged 100 miles (160 km) and wheeled 175 miles (281 km). This is how I discovered my love of unitouring.
Year two I unicycled a lap around the big island of Hawai'i, completing the month with just over 500 miles (804 km) in September 2021.
My third year I did a 1,000 mile (1609 km) month, Sept 2022.
In my first 3 years I raised $4,265 total.
This year, September 2023, I'll be unicycling 500 miles (804 km) to raise $3,000 for kids with cancer.

WHAT NOW
Selfcare doesn't end with oneself; True happiness involves benefiting one's community.
After working as a graphic designer/editor/entrepreneur for 25+ years and raising three amazing young humans it was finally time to focus on myself.
I was extremely athletic in my younger years. Growing up in the Colorado high country I enjoyed mountain biking, 14'er mountain climbing, rock climbing, extreme camping, canoeing, white water tubing, and more.
Now I'm working on my latest project; I'm working towards bringing the sport of unicycling to Hawai'i with a school and center for community enrichment.
